C.P.G Sri Sankara Matriculation Higher Secondary School is spread over 5 elegantly landscaped acres. It is located at Peralam on the Thiruvarur – Mayiladuthurai national highway, a little away from the noise and pollution of the city. It is 24km from Thiruvarur and 15 Km from Mayiladuthurai.

Sri Sankara Matric Higher Secondary School was established in the years 1987. It was brought under the C.P.G Educational Public Charitable Trust which was created on 24th Dec 2001. The Chairman and the managing Trustee is Rtn.C.P.G.Vetri Selvam,D.Litt., S/o. C.P.Ganesan, Kaduvangudi Village, Kollumangudi (Po), Nannilam(Tk). Who has the ambition to give quality education and to meet the educational needs of children of the Peralam Town Panchayat, Nannilam (Tk) and Thiruvarur (Dist) irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

He decides to develop the young minds into total and multisided personality which is the main objective of the school. The School is located in beautiful scenic, pollution free and natural surroundings. C.P.G. Sri Sankara Matric.Hr.Sec.School was upgraded to middle school in 1998 and it blossomed into a well equipped matriculation school in the year 1999. The school send the batch of Std X students during the year 2000 and obtained cent percent result. The school was upgraded to Hr. Sec.School in the year 2006.
